Inspired by the beautiful friendship blossoming between the Koi fish & the dragonfly by a pond that I come across often on my walks.

This is a mixed media painting & I have used various tools for mark making, adding textures like real leaves, threads, toys, texture paste, acrylic inks, paints etc. I have painted it in a very expressionist manner where the story unfolded on the canvas without any background preparation. It's like creating a story from a chaos which I enjoy very much.

Can you believe I used real leaves to create all the water lilies? Yes!! look closely & you'll see it.

I had so much fun creating this very unique painting.
