Inspiration:

Have you ever noticed how a small plant can sprout out of nowhere? Through cracks in concrete, walls, roadside rubble? World over, all places destroyed completely by humans is taken over by nature where life again springs back. What do you call it?

I have often observed these little miracles on my daily walks & they inspire me to see beauty even in the toughest spots.

I had once read these beautiful words 'Life's longing for itself' in a poem by Khalil Gibran & everything fell in place!

So this painting is inspired by so many emotions & my childhood experiences. It's about Life's longing for itself.

It's painted in an abstract expressive way. Like many of my paintings I just had these words in my mind & with layers & layers of paint, textures & emotions the story became whole on my canvas. It became my Tree of Life.
